PENS SABRES fans celebrate

Penguins fans celebrate a goal in the third period during the preseason game against Buffalo at Pegula Ice Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. The Sabres won 4-3 in overtime.

After not having a game at Pegula Ice Arena last year, the NHL will return to State College for another preseason game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres.

The game will be played on September 16 at 7 p.m.

The Sabres and Penguins met at Pegula in 2017, when Buffalo claimed a 4-3 overtime win.

Terry Pegula, who’s donation helped build the program and the new arena, is the owner of the Sabres.
