A "White Out" will arrive earlier than expected to campus, as the Penn State Berkey Creamery introduced a new flavor before the Penn State versus Ohio State game.
The Creamery will be serving a new ice cream flavor called "White Out," described as a “sweet blend of popcorn-flavored ice cream and white chocolate chips” starting on Monday, according to Penn State News.
The new flavor is being released just in time to celebrate Penn State's declared "white out" game against Ohio State at Beaver Stadium on Sept. 29, which will bring the sports show "College Gameday" to State College.
"'White out' has become a huge Penn State Athletics tradition, so it only made sense for us to help promote and complement their efforts," Jim Brown, the Creamery's assistant manager said to Penn State News. "We think this new flavor is going to be a touchdown with fans."
The flavor is available in half-gallon containers and 3-gallon tubs for purchase at the campus location and online.
Earlier this year, the Creamery introduced the flavors "THON Golden Ribbon Ripple" with a part of the sales donated for THON, as well as a "Grilled Stickies" flavor.
