For many, summer means swimming as much as possible at an outdoor pool and soaking up the sun. However, for those on campus this summer, that may be a challenge.

It is anticipated that the McCoy Natatorium outdoor pool will remain closed for repairs all summer long, according to a release from Penn State News. During a routine assessment in winter and early spring, workers discovered multiple issues with the facilities and began maintenance work in June. The mechanical room, pool surface and dive tower are being repaired.

Regarding the outdoor pool's reopening, Campus Recreation will announce updates and a timeline as the project continues, according to Penn State News.

Meanwhile, the McCoy Natatorium indoor pool is open to students, Campus Recreation members and guests. The schedule of operations can be found on the Campus Recreation website.

Regarding recreational resources, the White Building pool is also closed for the summer, according to the facility's web page.
