Local Democrats showed up in full force on Wednesday in the run up to next week's midterm election during a rally at the HUB-Robeson Center.
The main attraction seemed to be Pennsylvania's senior U.S. Senator Bob Casey, who is running for re-election against Republican Lou Barletta. Casey was joined by other Centre County Democratic candidates including State House candidates Scott Conklin and Erin McCracken, State Senate candidate Ezra Nanes and U.S. House candidate Marc Friedenberg.
The rally lasted for a little over an hour with each candidate speaking for a few minutes, followed by Casey giving a speech. Casey was especially complimentary of Friedenberg, who is currently an assistant teaching professor in Penn State's College of Information Sciences and Technology.
After the event, Casey stuck around to talk to some of his constituents before departing for an event later on Wednesday in Lancaster.
