Saquon Barkley has been named to the AP All-American third team.

Barkley was also named to the Sporting News All-American team earlier this week.

He is the first Penn State running back to garner All-American honors since Larry Johnson in 2002.

Barkley so far has rushed for 1,302 yards, and has scored a Big Ten best 19 total touchdowns. The Nittany Lions will play their final game in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 2 at 5 p.m. against USC.
