Pick of the Week

Where: Metro, 320 E. College Ave., is a student favorite because it is always stocked with the most popular trends for every season. The downtown shopping hot spot offers a wide and diverse selection of footwear, jeans, tees and accessories. Manager Courtney Scott said the store is carrying Hard Tail capris and So Low shorts for the season. With its eclectic mix of clothing and jewelry, as well as humorous gifts and unique decorations for apartments, it's no wonder the store is able to cater to diverse styles.

The Pick: Dresses are in at Metro this season, Scott said.

"Pretty much the whole store is dresses right now. It's what everyone is wearing," Scott said.

This dress by Lani features a vividly colored print and complementing knit bust. At $48, the lightweight dress is a steal and sets the wearer apart from the crowd. It looks good paired with gold bangles and layered gold and pendant necklaces. Metro has racks of silver, gold and colored bracelets, which can be layered for a look that doesn't overpower the dress, but keeps it from looking too simple.

Because State College weather is never dependable, keep your shoulders warm with the $38 S Line cardigan. We chose it in a bright, deep hued pink that matches the dresses' prints.

"I think a lot of people are going to love it," Jeana Spearly (sophomore-crime, law and justice) said. "It's summery, but the cardigan makes it perfect for spring."
