With Penn State facing six match points, redshirt freshman Joe Sunder pounded a kill into the floor, giving the Nittany Lions life.

Ryan Sweitzer always had the potential.
In high school he played on a club team that "wasn't great," but Penn State coach Mark Pavlik and then-assistant coach Dennis Hohenshelt saw what Sweitzer could become.
When redshirt freshman Edgardo Goas first told sophomore Dennis Del Valle they shared the same birthday, Del Valle thought Goas had to be teasing him.

Penn State's season-long dominance of the EIVA continued when the all-conference awards were announced Wednesday.
As most teams in the EIVA are fighting for their postseason lives in the EIVA Tournament, the Penn State men's volleyball team is focused on what coach Mark Pavlik calls "cooperative competition."

Early last week, junior Will Price said he was fired up for that weekend's matchups against Ball State and Ohio State.
