Heading into their July 15 match-up against Italy, Julia Trogele and her German teammates at the European U20 Women's Championships in Poland knew that they needed to win by at least seven points to advance to the quarterfinals.

Lady Lions lose, fall to eight seed for Big Ten tournament

The Lady Lions had to wait until the final game to get their first shot at the Big Ten regular season champion Ohio State Buckeyes. With a 74-63 loss to the nation's No. 14 team Sunday, Penn State ensured it will have to face the Buckeyes twice in one week if it hopes to advance to the weekend in the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis.

Quinn tears ACL in practice

Penn State Lady Lion guard Meggan Quinn will miss the remainder of the season after an MRI revealed that the junior tore the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in her left knee during Wednesday's practice.

When Mashea Williams arrived for practice Wednesday, the one thing that caught her attention was the polka dot shorts, the striped shirts and the '80s spandex her teammates laid out for her and the other two seniors.

Lady Lions dealing with difficulty of close losses

For Meggan Quinn, it can sometimes be "hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel." With the Penn State women's basketball team losing five of its last six games, Quinn said it is hard to put into words how difficult the stretch has been.
