Michael McCormick holds a stuff toy that he plans to give to a dancer.

Stuffed animals to be given to THON dancers

As students wait in line to enter the floor, ballerina tutus, animal print outfits and bright male tanks aren't the only accessories and garments adding color to the crowd.

In a show of support, Eddie Carlos (senior-integrative arts) and Michael McCormick (freshman-anthropology) are waiting to deliver two familiar characters of their preference to dancers Shelia Lantzy (senior-English) and Julie Palaganas (senior-biobehavioral health).

Carlos and McCormick will be giving stuffed animals of Hello Kitty and the Incredible Hulk to Palangas and Lantzy, respectively, as they represent the Penn State Filipino Association.

McCormick has been at the Bryce Jordan Center since 6 p.m. and said he feels somewhat tired.

At the Bryce Jordan Center since Friday 2 p.m. (waiting outside), Carlos said he has not taken a break other than to go to the restroom. When asked when he will leave, "eventually...maybe," accompanied by a chuckle, he answered.
