Lowjack brings country, Irish punk to THON
It’s the early morning hours of Saturday, but you wouldn’t know it here at Bryce Jordan Center when Lowjack, a State College-based band took the stage and rocked THON.
“I liked [Lowjack] a lot,” Amanda Lacue (sophomore-biology) said. “I thought they did a great job.”
The band performed nine songs that were exactly what the crowd wanted to hear. The set list was made up of mostly country and Irish punk music.
Dan Hottinger (sophomore-accounting) enjoyed the country theme and was most excited to hear “Sweet Home Alabama” fill the stadium.
The band’s energy was contagious. Lowjack’s fiddler player, Daniel Collins, was a huge contribution to the intensity the band brought. Collins head banged as crazy as any 1980s guitarist.
Overall, the performance was really fun and entertaining, freshmen Grace Guo and Melissa Dragun agreed.
