Dancer proposed to at THON
Love is in the air here at the Bryce Jordan Center. While some are showing love for their organizations or dancers, others are showing their love for their significant others.
Earlier today Greg Schwake proposed to his girlfriend of three years, Kellie Hileman. Hileman is dancing for Kinesiology Club this weekend.
While Hileman had some suspicions about Schwake proposing, she didn't think much of it, she said.
"He's really into surprises and any hunch I had he really played it down," Hileman (senior-kinesiology) said. "But he never ceases to amaze me."
The significance of the proposal happening during THON weekend is that THON is a big part of Hileman's life, which means it is now a big part of Schwake's life, she said.
While her spirits have been lifted after the proposal, Hileman said she is not an "all about me" kind of person.
"I'm still focusing on the kids because they're the reason I'm here," she said.
