In what was deemed a “global call to action” by THON officials in January, “Dance With Us” made its first Interfraternity Council/ Panhellenic Dance Marathon appearance Saturday night.
The Dance With Us line dance lasted about 30 seconds and was different from the hourly line dance – this one involved participants from around the globe. Submitted videos from THON participants were played on the big screen while the BJC danced along.
“I think it’s great to try to involve the larger THON community in THON weekend since not everybody can be here,” Sarah Rowland (junior-secondary education), a dancer for the club swimming team, said.
One moraler agreed, saying she liked the awareness factor associated with the Dance With Us initiative.
“I think it is really great to spread THON awareness around the world,” Tia Mancuso (sophomore-marketing) said.
