Dave Joyce and the Long Barrels keep the crowd rolling
Thank God for Dave Joyce and the Long Barrels.
I've spent around 12 hours in the Bryce Jordan Center and have had the opportunity to see this band, My Hero Zero, Table Ten and White Out. With the exception of My Hero Zero, Dave Joyce and his crew has given me and the crowd the adrenaline and spirit needed to THON on.
Playing catchy songs that audience member can also dance to like Little Richard's "You Make Me Wanna Shout," The Beatles' "Twist and Shout" and the always-inspirational, "My Hero," by the Foo Fighters, THONers have spent the band's entire set twisting, shouting and jumping.
When it comes to the final hours of the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, people always need that extra shock to jolt them back into their energetic state of mind, and DJATLB is the perfect electroshock therapy with their loud electro-guitar riffs and enthusiastic soundtrack full of semi-vintage and classic rock jams.
