Romney-Ryan bus to come to State College
The Romney-Ryan bus tour will come to State College Saturday, according to an email from the Centre County Republican Committee.
Deb Flavin, Centre County Republican Committee secretary and executive director, wrote that the committee does not know who will be on the bus, which will stop at the corner of Curtin Road and University Drive at 1 p.m.
Flavin said Rep. Glenn "G.T." Thompson, R-Centre, will be making an appearance. Thompson is currently running for Congress. The tour, Flavin said, is to rally people and get them excited about the election, and to also show that Centre County is still in play.
"We are honored that we're part of the tour," she said.
Ryan is campaigning at 1:30 Saturday in Ohio, according to the campaign's website. Romney will host a rally at 11:15 a.m. in Pensacola, Fla., and at 7 p.m. in Land O'Lakes, Fla., according to the campaign's website.
Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus are hosting a campaign event with the Romney bus today in Erie, Pa., according to the campaign's website.
