Penn State - Delaware State halftime update

After holding an 18-point lead 11 minutes into the first half, Penn State will head into the locker room up 37-29 on Delaware State at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Nittany Lions (5-4) had seven different players score, but have been led by slashing guard D.J. Newbill and a collective effort from behind the arc.

Newbill, who averages 14.9 points per game this season, dropped 12 in the first half.

Also, the team has shot 6-of-10 from downtown, highlighted by two treys a piece from Nick Colella and Jermaine Marshall.

However, the last 10 or so minutes of the opening half was all Delaware State guard Casey Walker.

Walker, who averages just 6.1 points for the Hornets in 2012, has been lights out from three-point land, sinking 4-of-6
attempts. Walker was 9-of-16 overall from the field and drained three free throws, giving him 17 points already.
