The No.1 Penn State Icers beat No. 23 West Chester, 7-0
The No.1 Icers moved to 10-0-0 with a 7-0 win over No. 23 West Chester (9-4-0), Friday night at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.
Penn State was led in points by Tommy Olczyk, who had a goal and two assists. Each of Penn State's seven goals was scored by a different player.
With the Icers holding a three goal lead after 40 minutes, West Chester's frustration showed in the third period. The Golden Rams had 61 total penalty minutes, 51 of which came in the third period. Penn State's four goals in the third period all came on the power play, including freshman Brandon Russo's. Russo made his debut as an Icer and scored his first goal.
PJ Musico started in net for the Icers and recorded the shutout, Penn State's second of the season.
Penn State's next game will come next Friday, when they travel to take on No. 4 Deleware.
