Taylor commits to Penn State

According to sources, Trenton Catholic forward Brandon Taylor has committed to Penn State.

Taylor, a native of Tabernacle, NJ., visited campus last October and was on hand when Penn State’s football team defeated Michigan. Reports came out on Monday afternoon that he had committed to the Nittany Lions and coach Patrick Chambers.

At 6-foot-7, Taylor would probably be playing a swing forward position when he joins the Lions in the 2012-13 season.

On espn.com, Taylor is rated as a two star recruit and an 87 overall after averaging 11.7 points per game last year.

With the addition of Taylor, Chambers now has two recruits in his 2012 class. The other being small forward Akosa Maduegbunam.

Taylor also considered Maryland, Miami (FL), Minnesota and Temple among other schools.
