Penn State midfielder Mackenzie Arment expected to return Friday at Indiana

After missing nearly three weeks of action with a sprained ankle, Penn State midfielder Mackenzie Arment is expected to play when the No. 16 Nittany Lions (5-1-1) open Big Ten play Friday night at Indiana.
Arment sprained his right ankle after scoring the lone goal in the Lions 1-0 win against Florida International on September 4. In four games this season, Arment has one goal on 10 shots.
The senior resumed his normal practice routine, and he said the swelling has gone down and the ankle feels good.
Coach Bob Warming said after the injury that it was concerning to see a player of Arment’s caliber miss any time. He said Wednesday that it is good to see him healthy again.
“We’ll be excited to have Kenzie back if he’s fit to go,” Warming said. “He wants to play, and if he can play, we’ll put him in.”
