Penn State drops to No. 9 in latest poll
After going 1-1 to open Big Ten play, the Nittany Lions have dropped out of the AVCA coaches poll top-5. Though Penn State swept Iowa on Saturday, the Lions lost to Nebraska on Wednesday and it dropped them four spots to No. 9. The Cornhuskers moved up three spots to No. 7 this week after beating Penn State and Ohio State.
The Big Ten is well represented in this week's poll with seven ranked teams. Illinois moved up to No. 1 and with Minnesota at No. 10, the conference has four teams ranked in the top-10.
