Not many people thought the Bills stood a chance against Tom Brady's crew. However, the Bills were in it -- and winning -- until they, well, dropped the ball. Leodis McKelvin fumbled a kickoff return, choosing to run with the ball rather than take a knee in the endzone. Bad decision. But the second-year player said if he had to, he do to it over. He'd still run it out of the endzone. I'm sure Bills fans appreciate that.
Some other things important and not so important:
-The Cubs are looking to shop Carlos Zambrano in the offseason. The righty pitcher is due more than $50 million over the remainder of his contract. While getting that contract off the books and receiving solid prospects in return would be good idea, trading the ace with no potential replacement in sight would ultimately not be a good move for a playoff-caliber team marred by injuries and under-performance.
-Tom Brady doesn't want to talk to Suzy Kolber. That's a shame. I'm sure Joe Namath is disappointed in the young gun slinger.
-Those of you who were upset by the loss of Fire Joe Morgan can now rejoice. The main contributors of that site will be taking over Deadspin tomorrow, Sept. 16. It should be a blast.
