PSU vs. Temple: Game day injury update

Penn State will be without defensive end Sean Stanley today against Temple. The senior is sidelined with a back injury, a team spokesman said.

Stanley has 11 tackles and a fumble recovery this season, and C.J. Olaniyan will get the start at end in Stanley's absence. A redshirt junior, Olaniyan has played in all three of Penn State's contests this season and has recorded three tackles.

In other injury news, sophomore tailback Bill Belton is in pads and warming up, as well is senior Derek Day. In the Nittany Lions' gameday depth chart, Day, Curtis Dukes and Michael Zordich were all listed as co-starters at running back.

Belton (ankle) and Day (shoulder) both missed last week's game against Navy.

Left tackle Donovan Smith was not listed on the team's depth chart today either, but was in uniform and warming up. Smith didn't play against Navy due to an ankle injury after starting the first two games of the season.
