'Rise and Rally' set for Tuesday morning

On 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, Penn State fans will be up bright and early in the Holuba Hall parking lot to support Penn State players and coaches on their way to practice to "Rise and Rally."

According to the Facebook event page by Undefeated Broadcasting, coffee and doughnuts will be provided at the event by Dunkin’ Donuts. The event is sponsored by Old State Clothing company, Nittany Bank and NITTANYSTRONG and t-shirts will also be given away.

The Facebook event has over 1,300 attendees. The rally comes after the NCAA levied unprecedented sanctions against Penn State last Monday that will ban the Nittany Lions from bowl and postseason play for four years and cost them scholarships and $60 million. On Wednesday, about 30 Penn State players, led by linebacker Mike Mauti and fullback Mike Zordich, announced their commitment to Penn State’s football program at the Lasch Football Building.

The Facebook event says University police will block off McKean Road at the Bigler Road intersection starting at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday.
