A team source has confirmed a report that Penn State wide receiver Derek Moye has sustained a foot injury.

The redshirt senior fell down some steps last night, and the extent of his injury is not known.

Moye is the Nittany Lions’ No. 1 wide receiver and leads the team in touchdowns (3), catches (28) and receiving yards (485).

Moye led the Lions with 53 receptions for 885 yards and eight touchdowns in 2010. He started every game, making at least one touchdown catch in seven of the last eight games for the Lions. Moye was second in the Big Ten with a 16.7 yards per catch average, fifth in receiving yardage (68.1 ypg) and tied for ninth in receptions.

The Lions (5-1, 2-0 Big Ten) will face Purdue (3-2, 1-0) at noon on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
