Bulldogs looking for opponent

The University of Georgia is looking to schedule a home-and-home series with a Midwestern team, or a few teams with rich tradition, and Penn State has been in the talks, Dawgs247 reported.

Georgia Athletic Director Greg McGarity told Dawgs247 that Penn State, along with Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame were involved in the preliminary discussions. The Bulldogs' hope is to schedule the series so it will happen at some point this decade and McGarity hopes to have a team lined up and an agreement for the series in writing at some point in the coming year.

The Lions played Georgia just one time in the program's history but Penn State has become more accustomed to playing SEC rivals due to the slated bowl games in recent history.
