Conference divisions finalized

The Big Ten confirmed an earlier ESPN report, pitting Penn State in a division with Ohio State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana and Illinois in division X.

Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Minnesota are in division O.

Each team will get a protected crossover game, ensuring an annual meeting with a team in the other division. Penn State's protected opponent is Nebraska, meaning Penn State will play the Buckeyes, Badgers and Cornhuskers yearly.

Also unveiled are the 2011 and 2012 conference schedules.

Penn State will play home games against Purdue, Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska and visit Indiana, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin in 2011. Penn State also has home games against Indiana State, Alabama and Eastern Michigan and a trip to Temple.

The announcement comes on the day Penn State season-tickets holders must decide whether they want to retain, upgrade, waive or relocate their seats under the school's new Seat and Equity Transfer Plan (STEP).
