PRYOR WATCH!

No breaking news to report here, but wanted to pass along an interesting note that I read in a Terrelle Pryor story by SI.com's Andy Staples.

He points out that it's possible Pryor ends up in State College on March 15, not for an official visit but for the Pennsylvania Class AA state basketball final at the Bryce Jordan Center. In case you didn't know, Pryor is quite the basketball player, too, and Jeannette has a chance to go deep into the hoops postseason.

If that happens, maybe Pryor can knock out two birds with one stone (Pardon my cliche): Play some basketball in the BJC and make a trip to the Lasch Football Building. ... Or maybe JoePa will go to the basketball game instead.

What else? Pryor update

Pardon our recent absence from the blog; we've all been busy running around with some other projects. But fear not, loyal Footblog reader, for we have a Terrelle Pryor update.

You can stop reading now if you're looking for the scoop on where he will be going to school. No, there will not be news on that until ... well, who knows?

But this much can be definitively reported: Pryor has been incredible on the basketball court. In a WPIAL Class AA playoff game Saturday night, the 6-foot-6 wunderkind had 24 points, 24 rebounds, eight blocked shots and seven assists.

Wow.

Kevin Horan is a senior majoring in journalism and political science and a football reporter for the Collegian. He's been writing for the Collegian since his sophomore year, covering the Penn State administration for two semesters and the men's lacrosse team for a season. Mark Viera, a junior majoring in journalism and English, is a Penn State football reporter for The Daily Collegian. He's worked for The Collegian since he was a freshman, covering women's basketball and men's and women's volleyball.
