Shooting baseball is a bit different experience for myself. The Pirates' Single A team, the State College Spikes, play at Medlar Field. To begin with, shooting the game from the dugout, while trying to stay out of the players' and coaches way is always difficult. Especially since I have learned that staying in one place during a baseball game is a poor choice. When shooting baseball, I have found that one needs to move around the field and find different angles in order to get interesting, good shots.
Baseball itself can be a little trying because all the waiting, unlike full-contact sports, where the action can be non-stop. In baseball, you have to be patient and wait for the moment. Another difference between shooting baseball and other sports is that the play is not always around the ball. So keeping your eye on the ball may not be your best bet, when there are players at any or all of the bases. By watching the ball, you fall in to the trap of just shooting the batter or pitcher and often miss the better more interesting shots at the bases or in the field. The play could be over before you have a chance to catch it.
