The Nittany Lions defeated Illinois 27-7 Saturday, but the Fighting Illini proved more of a challenge than expected.

Lions crush Fighting Illini, 27-7
In 1994, against the same team in the same stadium, Penn State needed to drive 96 yards in the final minutes of the fourth quarter to keep its national championship aspirations alive. All it needed Saturday was the third quarter to ensure a 27-7 victory against Illinois.
