The Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon raised $3,613,178 for the Four Diamonds Fund, topping last year's record of $3,609,830 by almost $3,500.

During his first semester at Penn State, Ian Fairbairn (senior-general science) decided he would be a part of the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

Activities such as a trip to the University Creamery or a meal in the dining commons might seem commonplace to Penn State students, but to Four Diamonds children, these are wishes come true.

A grin of elated determination spread across Levi Baker's rosy cheeks as he high-fived a dancer dusted in baby powder.

Anyone who stopped by the Thon Store at the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon Saturday afternoon was in for a surprise.

Like a rally car in an endurance race, participants in this weekend's Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance marathon required fuel. But in this case, gasoline was not the means of motivation — the driving force was food.

Bess Atkinson cried through family hour last night as Four Diamonds family members thanked the dancers, committee members, and organizations that participated in the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon this weekend.

It seemed like everyone was doing their part this weekend to get involved in the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, and Penn State student-athletes were surely no exception.

For 48 hours, dancers will be on their feet at the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, which begins at 7 p.m. today in Rec Hall

When Bess Atkinson walks onto the Dance Marathon floor tonight, it will bring back memories of the times she was there as a child with cancer.

Dancers are preparing mentally — and physically — to spend 48 hours on their feet during this weekend's Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

This year, for the first time, community members can help raise money for the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon while donating blood to the American Red Cross.

When students think of Dance Marathon, rarely does the thought of 39 couples dancing in a 30-hour competition looking to raise money for the mentally handicapped come to mind.

Those who will not be attending the 30th Penn State Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon this weekend can get a glimpse of its past festivities by simply taking a leisurely stroll through the Art Alley in the HUB-Robeson Center.

The 30th Annual Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon kicks off Friday at 7 p.m. and Penn State student-athletes are doing their part to help raise money for families whose children are fighting cancer.
