Collegian Staff Bio Matt Hymowitz
Science and health editor | SPRING 2003

Matt is a senior majoring in journalism and psychology and minoring in human development and family studies and the Collegian's Science and Health editor. Matt is also a member of the Collegian's Board of Editors and Board of Opinion, and he will graduate this spring.

This is the sixth semester he has been involved with the Collegian. Previously he was a page designer, news editor, campus chief, online editor, student government reporter and a candidate on the campus staff.

He is from Rockland County, N.Y., one of the northern suburbs of New York City. His father and stepmother recently moved to Florida, so he has no idea where he is going to live after graduation.

The Collegian has given Matt a multitude of memorable experiences, but he has given back as well. At various points, this newspaper his taken his time, hours of sleep, much of his energy, and many times, his sanity.

You can usually find Matt in the basement of the James Building, or in his single room in West Halls (the dream of any on-campus student).

Matt would like very much to pull his GPA back up so he can get on the Dean's List and also motivate himself to work on his honors thesis.

Matt welcomes story ideas and feedback, and always enjoys hearing the sound Eudora makes when someone sends him mail, so feel free to write Matt at writematt@psu.edu.
