Copy desk chief | SPRING 2003 Kathy Hsieh is a senior majoring in journalism and minoring in English. She is the copy desk chief this semester. Kathy joined The Daily Collegian in the fall of her freshman year as a campus candidate. She has also been an education GA, a education beat reporter, a copy/wire/online editor and campus chief. Kathy grew up in Downingtown, Pa. She loves to write and read; some of her favorite books, Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises and Camus’ The Stranger, were required reading in high school. Kathy also likes foreign languages, however, she has only partly grasped French and Chinese so far. She also has a deep passion for movies, especially classics, foreign films and Oscar-winning ones. On top of that, she is an award show junkie. If Kathy has any spare time, she likes to watch her favorite TV shows: Seinfeld reruns, ER and A Wedding Story. She is also involved with The Navigators, a Christian fellowship on campus. In the future, Kathy aspires to be a news reporter or perhaps write for a magazine. She also hopes to travel to Europe. Her e-mail address is kxh260@psu.edu. |
