Hot Chelle Rae set to perform at the Bryce Jordan Center

Students with a desire to see live music will find no shortage this April. Adding to the already performance-packed month -- just announced this morning -- is pop rock band Hot Chelle Rae.

The band is set to perform on the Bryce Jordan Center stage, just 24 hours prior to Kendrick Lamar’s performance. Hot Chelle Rae – a four-piece group, hailing from Nashville – will take the stage at 7 p.m. on April 21 and is presented by the B94.5 Morning Zoo Crew, with special guest and opening act Francesco.

The event will be free for students, courtesy of the University Park Allocation Committee. General admission tickets are $35.

Free, student tickets will be distributed at noon on March 26, to any student with a valid student ID+ in the HUB-Robeson Center and will be available while supplies last. There is a two-ticket per ID+ limit for students, said the BJC’s marketing and sales director, Bernie Punt.

Hot Chelle Rae is most known for its hits “Tonight Tonight” and “I Like It I Like It,” while the "pop/adult contemporary" opening act, Francesco represents a “top 40” sound, Punt said.

General admission tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on March 27 at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium and PSU Downtown Theatre, online at www.ticketsmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000 or 814-865-5555.
