Last night the Student Programming Association announced the revisit of comedian and impressionist, Steve Caouette.
Caouette is scheduled to perform at 10 p.m. on March 22 in Heritage Hall, in accordance with SPA LateNight.
The event is free and ticketless for Penn State students with a valid ID+. Students will be allowed in on a first come, first serve basis.
Caouette previously performed at Penn State on Jan. 28 last year, also courtesy of SPA LateNight.
According to SPA’s press release, Caouette is known for his ability to do impressions.
Caouette worked on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and now performs across the country, according to the press release.
Caouette has done multiple commercials and voiceovers and has worked on Stephen King’s “Langoliers” and “Thinner,” while also appearing in “The Preachers Wife” and “Boondock Saints.”
Megan Mansell, marketing chairwoman for SPA, said that Caouette’s performance last year rendered a good turnout from students.
Often SPA tries to bring back smaller acts that previously performed well, Mansell said.
“[Caouette] did a lot of impersonations that were really funny,” she said.
Mansell said that she hopes Caouette has developed his skills even more since last year so that his performance will be even greater for students.
She added that students should expect a comical performance.
“[Caouette] enjoys taking request from the audience and will attempt to emulate almost anything. The more ridiculous the request, the more entertaining the show,” according to the press release.
