The State College Police Department is investigating 15 car break-ins that occurred overnight between Saturday and Monday in three different local neighborhoods, police said.
The car break-ins occurred in the Greentree neighborhood in State College and in the Harris Acres and Dalevue neighborhoods in College Township, police said.
The vehicles that were broken into were reportedly unlocked and items taken include work tools, cash, change, wallets and CDs, police said.
No one has been identified in connection with the incidents and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Police are asking residents and students to remain vigilant, lock their vehicles and remove valuables, cash, change and other items from their vehicles.
Anyone who observes any suspicious person and/or vehicles are asked to report it to the State College Police Department at 814-234-7150.
