A strong-armed robbery occurred early Tuesday morning at 127 Keller St., the State College Police Department said.
Police said a 22-year-old man was walking home at about 12:45 a.m. from Kildare’s Irish Pub, 538 E. College Ave., when an unknown male hit him on the back of the head. The unknown man then stepped on the other man’s foot and demanded his wallet and cell phone, police said.
The man gave up the items and sustained slight bruising on his foot, police said. The total amount of items lost was $20, police said. Police could not confirm if the man was a Penn State student.
The unknown man was described as about six foot tall and wearing a gray coat, gray hat and blue jeans, police said. The man displayed no weapons and fled on foot running eastbound toward a parking lot, police said.
