A sexual assault involving two known individuals is currently under investigation, the State College Police Department said Tuesday.
Police could not confirm the date the incident occurred, the date the incident was reported or discuss the nature of the incident.
Police could not specify where the incident occurred. They also could not specify the genders of the individuals involved.
Police did not specify whether or not charges are expected to be filed.
Since Aug. 27, 2012, local police have fielded 20 separate reports of sexual assault and one report of a potential sexual assault from Dec. 16, in which the woman who reported the assault could not remember whether it was sexual in nature.
