Eric C. Greene, associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biophysics at Columbia University and early career scientist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will present a lecture on molecular medicine at 4 p.m. today in 101 Althouse Laboratory .
The Robert T. Simpson Memorial Lecture is an annual event sponsored by Penn State’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and is intended to honor Robert T. Simpson, a former Penn State professor.
This year’s lecture, Visualizing Protein-DNA Interactions at the Single-molecule Level Using DNA Curtains, will focus on “the molecular mechanisms that cells use to repair, maintain and decode their genetic information,” according to a press release.
