Leading the Paterno family's rebuttal of the Freeh Report are four experts, one of whom is Jim Clemente. Clemente holds a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law and has completed masters level coursework at the FBI Academy, according to a resume provided by Paterno.com.
Clemente's previous occupations include roles as a prosecutor for the City of New York, law clerk for NYC Corporation Counsel and independent consultant for Park Dietz & Associates and Academy Group, Inc., according to the resume.
He was also employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and SEOC Violent Crimes, WCC, New York Division, among others. He currently works as a consultant/expert witness.
Clemente has received specialized training in a range of areas, including sex abuse and neglect of children, prosecution of child sex crimes, sex offender treatment modalities, paraphilias and sex offenders, among others, according to the resume.
Additionally, he has lectured extensively and given training in fields related to online sex crimes against children, child sex offender interactive panel, child sex offender behavioral typologies, sex crimes against children and sex offender investigations.
Clemente has further given expert opinions on child sex offender behavior, child sexual victimization for the FBI’s testimony before the U.S. Congressional Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security. He has given expert testimony in the areas of grooming behavior and sexual victimization of children, as well, according to the resume.
