Sue Paterno will speak with Katie Couric in an exclusive interview that will air on Couric’s nationally-syndicated talk show, “Katie,” according to a press release from the talk show issued Monday.
The interview is scheduled to appear during the Monday, Feb. 11 episode of “Katie,” according to the release.
Couric visited Paterno — widow of Penn State’s former head football coach Joe Paterno — in Paterno's home in State College, according to the release.
Couric will also host Paterno in-studio for her first national interview since the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case broke and since her husband died from lung cancer in January 2012.
Paterno’s son, Jay, Penn State’s former quarterbacks coach on his father’s coaching staff, declined comment on the interview. His brother, Scott, deferred comment to the family spokesman, who could not be reached by press time Monday.
Last month, Couric spoke to Manti Te'o in another highly-publicized interview about the hoax involving the Notre Dame linebacker and a faked girlfriend.
