Three charged with possessing and selling a pound of marijuana

Three people have been charged with possessing and selling a pound of marijuana in the State College area, the State College Police Department said in a criminal complaint.

David Gilmore, 22, of Plum; Devin Pullie, 18, of Pittsburgh; and Brittany McCourt, 20, of Irwin, are each charged with two felony counts of possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver controlled substance, conspiracy in the attempt to deliver and possess the controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of possessing the controlled substance, according to court documents.

McCourt is also facing felony charges of criminal use of a communication facility from using a cell phone to facilitate the delivery of the marijuana, according to court documents.

After suspecting the individuals of possessing marijuana, police pulled the three over Wednesday outside of Wal-Mart, 1665 N. Atherton St.

Police arrested the individuals at that time and obtained a search warrant for their vehicle, police said. In the car was a backpack containing 461.2 grams -- about one pound of marijuana -- police said. Police also found a pill identified as Clonazepam.
