A man pled guilty and was sentenced Monday to 11-and-a-half to 23-and-a-half months in prison, plus two years of probation, in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old female that occurred in State College in 2011, according to a press release issued by the Centre County District Attorney’s office.
Fahron Rosemond, 23, of Queens Village, N.Y., pleaded guilty to statutory sexual assault and indecent assault, according to the release.
In addition to prison time and probation, Rosemond is barred from contacting the female he sexually assaulted and cannot be in the company of anyone under the age of eighteen, according to the release.
On the night of May 13, 2011, the female and a friend went to Rosemond’s house for a party where alcohol was involved, according to the release.
When the female and a friend went upstairs to use a restroom, Rosemond asked the female to enter his bedroom, according to the release. After the female entered the bedroom, Rosemond sexually assaulted her, according to the release.
Rosemand was charged on May 19, 2011.
In a separate case, Rosemand pled guilty to simple assault for hitting the mother of his child in the face on Jan. 31, 2012, and was sentenced to an additional two years of probation, according to the release.
