Black Moshannon State Park is holding its annual winter festival Saturday, giving people a chance to get out and enjoy the fun things winter has to offer.
From 12 to 5 p.m., “Fun In The Snow At Black Moshannon” will offer up outdoor games, including ice bowling, curling, ice mini-golf and broom ball, along with hot food from vendors, said park administrative assistant Marsha Srock.
“I think that college kids would get a little bit of a kick out of it, getting out and playing on the snow and ice for a change,” said Srock.
A limited number of ice skates will be available to borrow, Srock said.
There is just enough snow on the ground to have the festival, but some activities such as snow shoeing and cross-country skiing won’t be possible, said Srock.
The festival is put on by the Friends of Black Moshannon, Srock said. There is no cost to attend.
Black Moshannon State Park is located in western Centre County, nine miles east of Philipsburg.
