For weekend help, call the Centre County CAN HELP Line, a 24-hour hotline staffed with counselors and people trained to speak with and address those experiencing grief or crisis, according to Penn State's Counseling and Psychological Services webpage. To reach them, dial 1-800-643-5432.
Penn State's Center for Counseling and Psychological Services will also resume normal business hours at 9 a.m. Monday morning on the fifth floor of the Student Health Center. Here, students can speak with someone in person about the emotions they may be experiencing, according to the website. CAPS can be reached at 814-863-0395.
Students may also seek out help at Mount Nittany Medical Center's Emergency Room or contact 911, where a dispatcher can connect to the appropriate services.
