After two years of sitting unused, the Cinema 6 area in College Township will soon house two new tenants.
Ed Friedman, the CEO of the Friedman Real Estate Group, said the new tenants will include retail and food services but said he was not able to give specific names.
Friedman said the real estate group controls the property and said they are always out looking for new tenants.
“We were open to any potential use,” he said.
Friedman said the real estate group also has several requirements that the new tenants must pass.
He said the tenants must be financially sound, must complement the shopping center in the area and have to be good operators.
Friedman said he hoped to have some signed contracts by the end of the New Year with the tenants.
“The new tenants will be a great addition to the community,” he said.
Friedman said they had not received any community feedback so far.
College Township council member Daniel Klees said the council was not involved with the new tenants coming into the area.
Centre County commissioner Michael Pipe said the commissioners were also not involved.
