I’m sure that by just looking at the words “country music,” one would think of cowboy boots, country twang and fiddles.
But what the country music non-believers and haters (such as my boyfriend, for example) don’t know is that this genre can actually be appropriate for when you and your significant other are looking for some new music to break the ice when you’re chilling at the apartment.
If you are looking for something to strike a new chord the next time you’re making a move, try shuffling in some sultry country music into your playlist to give it a nice twist.
Currington’s heartfelt ballad is one of the best country love songs ever and is the best way to let your significant other that he or she is the best person for you. With lyrics like “don’t know what what I did to earn a love like this, but baby, I must be doing something right,” it is a great song to show how much you care for that special person in your life.
If you’re looking for a song to light some candles to and “come a little closer” to your significant other, this would be the perfect song to do that. Much like the Rascal Flatts hit “I Melt,” it’s definitely a song that breaks the norm of country love songs.
This breakout hit from Anderson is a more rock-infused country song, but the guitar riffs are sexy and can give the mood that extra kick. Who knows, maybe the lyrics will inspire you to “sneak away for a couple of hours” and pick some wildflowers.
This is a Faith Hill staple, and while I’m not the biggest fan of Hill, I can appreciate the raw intensity that I feel when I hear this song.
Similar to “Must Be Doin’ Something Right,” this song can show how much he or she is your better half. And hey, if you’re musically savvy, why not take that extra step and learn a few of the guitar chord and sing this Urban hit to your significant other? It’s bound to hit a few chords in their heart.
