Having survived the emotional whirlwind of the past year, I am reflecting with awe at the leadership and quality of character shown by the youngest of our family — the student body, team members, and coaches of the 2012 football season.
At a time when our minds were reeling from a nation full of finger-pointing accusers, you were full of simple truths.
Through your actions, I have witnessed the most classy response to criticism of my lifetime.
I am truly proud of all of you.
I have no doubt that our future is in good hands. We’re going to make this place our home.
