There should more focus being put on the students and less on renovations

About a week ago on Nov. 30, an editorial was published titled “University should evaluate construction spending” discussing about how the university is constructing new buildings that seems to be unnecessary for the students.

I have to say that as a student I agree with the entire article.

These new renovations such as Rec Hall do not appear to be essential for the students right now but rather it seems to hurt the students by increasing university spending.

The board should definitely reconsider renovations especially since the university is already facing a difficulty with the $60 million fine proposed by the NCAA.

The money for these renovations should be saved for future to be used to benefit students.

These renovations just do not seem to be beneficial for students.

I have to say that the entire article was basically making a statement for students.

I am grateful that such an editorial was published because now people may reconsider how they feel about renovations.
