CAPS grateful for UPUA, Active Minds mental health efforts

Counseling and Psychological Services — also known as CAPS — would like to thank the University Park Undergraduate Association and Active Minds for cosponsoring Penn State’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which occurred from Nov. 12 to 16. For those who might have missed it, students shared information about mental health conditions, resource materials and a CAPS “Show You Care” contest in the HUB from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

We also were pleased to be able to cosponsor an in-depth discussion titled “Invisible Disabilities” involving a panel featuring students from Active Minds and CAPS staff talking about students’ mental health experiences and resources.

We appreciated the chance to collaborate with students who demonstrated enthusiasm and dedication to making this week a success.
