Middle States Commission affirms Penn State's accreditation

The university's accreditation is no longer under question.

On Thursday evening, Penn State President Rodney Erickson wrote in an email that he received notification from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education that affirmed the university's accreditation and lifted the warning.

In August, the university received a warning from the commission for failure to satisfy some of the accreditation standards.

One monitoring report, a visit and a board meeting later, the university will remain nationally accredited.
