Penn State Police have completed their investigation into an indecent assault reported Oct. 4, and will not file charges in relation to the incident.
The assault occurred sometime between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m., when a female Penn State student was inappropriately touched by a known male in a dorm room in South Halls, police said. The woman also reported that the man who assaulted her denied her from leaving the room.
Police could not specify why charges are not being filed against the male involved in the incident.
Police could not confirm the ages of the people involved, nor could they confirm if the male was a Penn State student.
The incident is listed on the Penn State University Police and Fire Daily Activity Log as an indecent assault, harassment and false imprisonment.
The incident is the second indecent assault to be reported since Aug. 27., as previously reported.
